Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about residential electrical installations

For houses and flats, it is recommended to have a professional electrical inspection carried out every 5 years. For older installations (over 20 years) or those experiencing frequent faults, a shorter inspection interval is advisable.
Frequent tripping of circuit breakers can be caused by an overloaded circuit (too many high-power appliances connected), a short circuit, or a worn-out breaker. We recommend disconnecting appliances, and if the problem persists, contacting a qualified electrician immediately.
Any work on electrical installations should only be carried out by a qualified electrician with the appropriate certification. Unqualified interference can lead to electric shock, fire, and in the event of an insurance claim, refusal of coverage by the insurer.
In certain cases, it is possible to use existing cable routes or run new wiring through suspended ceilings or floor trunking. However, a complete rewiring usually requires at least some building works. During the site survey, we will recommend the least invasive solution.
The price depends on the size of the property, the number of lighting and socket circuits, the materials used, and specific requirements (e.g. smart home, solar PV preparation). We will be happy to provide an accurate quote after a free site survey.
